The more Jonathan talks about cooking the more I realize how passionate he is about preparing delicious, creative, healthy food. For big occasions he often prepares a duck with blueberry jam and red wine sauce. They recommended that I visit the King Cole Farm (Warden Avenue & Aurora Road) for fresh duck. Inspired, I bought two ducks, plenty of duck liver and eagerly prepared them later on at home.
Some cookbooks they use are: Joy of Cooking, Vegetarian times, and The Mennonite Community Cookbook. In addition to visiting our site, Jonathan also subscribes to Fine Cooking magazine to explore new cooking methods. At the end of our conversation we all agreed that it’s important for a chef to love cooking and that love is transferred into the food they prepare.
